We Predict That For Every 100 Boys Who Join a Boy Scout Troop:

Ø    Eighteen will develop hobbies that will last through their adult life.

Ø    Eight will enter a career that was learned through the merit badge system.

Ø    One will use his Boy Scout skills to save a life.

Ø    One will use his Boy Scout skills to save his own life.

Ø    Seventeen will become Scouting Volunteers.

Ø    Two will become Eagle Scouts.

Ø    Twelve will have their first contact with a church or synagogue.

Ø    Five will earn their religious emblem.

Ø     One will enter the clergy.

Statistics:

A recent nationwide survey of high school revealed the following information.

v     85% of student council presidents were Scouts.

v     89% of senior class presidents were Scouts.

v     80% of junior class presidents were Scouts

v     75% of school publication editors were Scouts

v     71% of football captains were Scouts

Scouts also Account for:

v     85% of FBI agents

v     72% of Rhodes Scholars

v     70% of Naval Academy Graduates

v     68% of West Point Graduates

v     64% of Air Force Academy Graduates

v     26 of the first 29 astronauts
